Highplains Pheasant Hunting offers both preserve and off-preserve hunting.Off-Preserve Off-preserve hunting is available during South Dakotas regular season, which runs from mid-October to the first week of January. South Dakota possession limits apply; Hunters are limited to 3 birds per day. Preserve Hunting Preserve hunting is available during an extended season from September 1st to March 31st. Hunters may take up to 15 birds per day. A daily limit of 3 birds is included in the price of all hunts. Increased bag limits are available at the rate of $35 per bird. Guides All of our hunts are guided by experienced staff members. While the price of guides is included in your package, gratuities for exceptional service are accepted. Dogs We provide full kennels and a dedicated grooming station for guests that desire to bring their own hunting dogs. Dogs can also be provided by guides upon request. Bird Cleaning Guests can take advantage of our bird cleaning facilities to clean, vacuum pack, and freeze their birds. Alternatively, our staff will clean your birds for a nominal fee.
